BMAT Crash Course Singapore
We’ve created a custom BMAT Crash Course programme for medical applicants from Singapore. This year’s course will run at some point in September 2016 – we’ll have more details for you in Summer 2016.
Because there’s so much to get through, the day will start at 9:30am and finish at 6pm. The “Crash Course” itself will run until 5pm, in which we’ll teach you everything you need to know to do well in the BMAT. We’ll teach you the techniques to get through Section 1, we’ll teach you all the Science you need to know for Section 2, and we’ll go over the best ways to tackle the essay in Section 3. Afterwards, we’ll have our admissions talk, and you’ll have the chance to talk to us (and our Singaporean colleagues) about applications, personal statements, interviews and anything else.
The format of the BMAT Crash Course Singapore will be much the same as the courses we run in the UK. We’ll be taking you, step-by-step, through all three sections of the BMAT. Sections 1 and 3 will be identical to what we teach in the UK, but Section 2 (Science) has been modified to include subjects that tend not to be taught at GCSE in Singaporean schools – this is most relevant for Physics, which the majority of applicants don’t take. For a more detailed, section-by-section breakdown, check out our Course page, or contact us if you’ve got any questions.
Naturally, as we’ve emphasised time and again throughout this website, the BMAT Crash Course isn’t a magic bullet – you’ll need to put a lot of time and effort into practising the questions and the techniques yourself to get a good score. Remember, as most UK medical schools have a set number of international places, you’re not really competing with the generic British student, but rather, the creme-de-la-creme of international students from all over the world – it is imperative therefore, that you maximise your chances in every way you can. A high BMAT score will definitely help with that, but only if you put the work in yourself!
Registration for the course will open in mid-2016 when we finalise the dates and the venue. If you’d like to be notified of when that happens, please enter your email address below and we’ll drop you a line when booking opens.
